Poised for Battle: The Florida A&M University football team gathers in the tunnel for one final rally cry before taking the field. Huddled, the players soak in the moment, mentally preparing for what could be the last minutes of their season. Their focused expressions reflect the do-or-die nature of this eliminatory contest. Under the bright lights, they stand united, fueled by dreams of victory and the chance to extend their time together. Though the battle ahead will test their talent and will, victory or defeat, they know this team is forever bonded by the blood, sweat and tears sacrificed.
The team looks up to the Lord with gratitude for granting them another opportunity to play football. They thank Him for keeping them safe and guiding them towards victory on the field.
Digital Design
I created a recommitment graphic to announce the decision of someone to leave a team or program. Meanwhile, this individual is on the brink of entering the transfer portal, signaling their intent to explore new opportunities in their athletic career.
After a decade sheltered in an underground bunker, Naomi and Huang finally emerge to the surface, hoping to find other survivors in the abandoned city. The world above is an eerie ghost town - buildings crumbling, cars overturned, and vegetation reclaiming the streets.
This creative project combines my photography with graphic design skills. I utilized my own captured images to craft a visual narrative. The concept illustrates an athlete’s journey, emphasizing their aspirations, dreams, and relentless pursuit of victory. Through this piece, I aimed to portray the player’s determination to secure another trophy, symbolizing their ambition and drive for success.
Brand Identity
SanDisk
The goal of this SanDisk rebrand was to modernize their visual identity and brand aesthetic to feel more contemporary and appealing to today's consumers. Through strategic creative decisions, I aimed to refresh SanDisk's branding while maintaining key brand equity.
This Brand Identity Style Guide for City Flare Bistro serves as a roadmap for maintaining consistency and integrity in visually representing the brand across platforms and materials. It emphasizes the importance of elements like the logo, typography, color palette, and imagery in shaping the brand's perception. The guide aims to ensure that every interaction with the brand reflects its values, personality, and commitment to excellence.
LOGO
This new logo design aimed to create a bold, friendly, and approachable visual identity reminiscent of the Universal brand.
CityFlare Bistro, located in New York City, is a modern restaurant that blends different cuisines. The bistro seeks a new logo that reflects its urban elegance and culinary creativity, serving as the foundation of its visual identity to communicate sophistication and innovation to its customers.
Typography
While in class, I received instructions to create five motivational phrases and design them using typography. I discovered a captivating font on Bechance and creatively altered certain letters to imbue them with a playful serif style. For one of the phrases, "an L on top of an L is just a step," I utilized the two L's to represent steps within my artwork, ensuring harmony between the phrase and the visual design.
I've created a new design for the book cover of "Making The Cut At Pixar: The Art Of Editing Animation." This project involved reimagining the existing cover, using a combination of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to produce the final result. The graphic represents my interpretation of the book's content and Pixar's visual style.
